Laura Ambrosi, 1959, lives and works in Turin. She begins to express her art in several artistic fields: painting, design, sculpture, but her predilection concerns light installations in acrylic glass and neon. She is active in an artistic context that tests the language of sculpture, pushing it toward a design idea. The artist is also involved in Azioni d'Arte to bring works closer to alternative places, outside galleries and officially assigned spaces, to communicate new languages, feelings and sensitivities all feminine. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Racchiusa nel profondo del mio essere 1996 Matite, carboncino su carta 69x49 cm. The female figure is represented seated, gathered in a closed and introspective posture. The body is folded onto itself, as in a moment of suspension and inner listening, in a gesture of waiting, desire or trust in the possible. The use of pencils and charcoal defines the figure through an essential, material mark and at times incisive, while the written stroke speaks with delicacy, creates a warm tone that envelops the body and accentuates its emotional dimension. The contrast between the darker zones and those left brighter helps to give depth to the composition. The work thus relates enclosure and openness, fragility and strength, solitude and hope.
