Young artist showcased at the Centre Pompidou in September 2025 for the day dedicated to French Young Creation, Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle is a French expressionist artist born in 1982. Drawing, painting, collage, performance are the languages he explores with force and spontaneity. This work is a large collage on raw canvas, made with a mixed-media set of techniques including drawing on paper, oil pastels, acrylic painting, charcoal, and ink. The whole forms a very “raw,” “raw-edged,” and “sensitive” whole, qualities typical of German figurative expressionism, a current in which the artist entirely situates himself.
