Refined pilgrim flask in strong earthenware with two leaf-shaped handles and a blue-gold finish, produced at the Laveno works (Società Ceramica Richard-Ginori) under the Lavenia brand. Decoration: Entirely hand-painted on a finely crackled glaze (craquelé). The subject depicts a rich oriental motif (chinoiserie) with cranes, peacocks, and blooming peony branches in vivid tones (purple, cobalt blue, and green).
