Alle Auktionen / Sonstige / Le Tallec - Jar (2) - A Pair of French Hand-Painted...
A fine pair of mid-20th-century porcelain ginger jars (pots à gingembre) of baluster form. Each jar is superbly decorated on a vibrant turquoise-blue ground, featuring a wide reserve medallion meticulously hand-painted with a polychrome depiction of paired exotic birds of paradise perched on leafy flowering branches. The vibrant central cartouches are framed by an elegant, raised 24k gold geometric lace overlay (dentelle) and scrolling floral gilt foliage.
