Subject and Theme: "DRIP N°5 V.1 & WINE GIRL V.1" is an elegant and provocative diptych dedicated to desire: two icons of pleasure, a perfume, and a bottle of wine, told with the same luminous signature. In "DRIP N°5 V.1" the world’s most famous perfume bottle explodes into a storm of color. Splatters, drips, and brushstrokes of red, blue, yellow, and turquoise cover the glass on a deep black background, while the label remains intact at the center of the scene. A red neon crosses the brand name diagonally, like a burst of light that both erases and at the same time signs the work. In "WINE GIRL V.1" everything is in black and white: a naked back, a black dress sliding down, high heels, a glass, and a checkerboard floor. The only color in the scene is the red neon that draws the bottle tightly held between the fingers, with the label signed LEDMansion. A suspended photograph between elegance and irony, where the light chooses by itself what to tell. Technique and Creation: Both works combine art print on rigid support with a hand-applied red LED neon: a clean, diagonal line in the first, the silhouette of the bottle in the second. Two opposing aesthetics balance each other: the chromatic explode of drip art on one side, the rigor of black-and-white photography on the other. In both, the neon acts as a luminous marker that isolates a detail and makes it the protagonist, while a warm red glow spreads across the wall. Hung side by side, the two works create a sophisticated, nocturnal wall, perfect for a living room, a bar area, a bedroom, or a venue. Inspiration and Curiosities: The protagonist perfume of the first work was born in 1921 from the work of the nose Ernest Beaux: among the samples presented to him, Gabrielle Chanel chose the fifth, and she named it after that number. Its minimalist bottle became a design icon, so much so that it entered MoMA’s design collections in New York, and in the Eighties Andy Warhol also turned it into an art subject. "WINE GIRL V.1" instead plays with the tradition of black-and-white fashion photography, that sharp elegance and subtext, and adds the signature of LEDMansion: the label on the bottle is ours.
