Lexicon MX200• The "Hardware Plug-In" paradigm: One of the MX200's standout innovations is the USB connection. This allows the device to operate within compatible DAWs as a native VST- or Audio Unit-plug-in (strictly 32-bit format). Users can automate and recall settings in their software, while the actual audio processing is entirely handled by the device's internal hardware chip. • Dual processors: The device features two separate effect engines that can operate simultaneously. It offers four flexible routing configurations to determine how the signal flows: • Dual Mono: Sends separate inputs to separate effect engines. • Cascade (Serial): Engine 1 sends the signal directly to Engine 2 (e.g., Delay to Reverb). • Dual Stereo (Parallel): Both engines process the stereo signal independently and mix the result. • Mono Split: Splits a mono input into two separate paths. • 32 Legacy effects: The device is equipped with 16 renowned Lexicon reverbs (including Hall, Plate, Room and Chamber) and 16 other algorithms for delays, modulation (chorus, flanger, phaser) and integrated dbx dynamics/compression.
