Description of the Object Fascinating collectible lot composed of 8 military figurines (3 LINEOL, 2 ELASTOLIN, 2 unmarked and 1 Italian) 1 model of a combat horse (LINEOL) and 1 historical cannon model, dating approximately to the mid-20th century (pre-war/war period). The figures are made in the classic composition paste (Masse) with a metal wire core, a technique typical of the famous German manufactories such as Lineol and Elastolin. The lot stands out for the variety of subjects and includes a rare Scottish soldier (Highlander) in multicolored kilt, soldiers in dynamic combat positions (assault, lookout with binoculars, officer with sword), infantry troops, an ordnance horse and a detailed field artillery cannon in metal with working wheels. Composition of the Lot • 1 vintage field cannon in metal/die-cast with elevating mechanism for the barrel. • 1 Scottish soldier (Highlander) in elaborately traditional uniform hand-painted. • 1 Officer in assault pose with drawn sword. • 1 Soldier with megaphone in warning position. • 1 Military horse on a support base. • 5 Infantry soldiers in various poses (marching, aiming, resting). The items are presented in good vintage condition, with the usual signs of time that attest to their authenticity. There are visible slight paint losses and the typical micro-cracks on the surface of the composition paste, characteristics highly sought after by collectors as they give character to the pieces. No recent restoration performed.
