Status: Excellent inking; good condition with slight traces of foxing and browning; Support: Lightweight paper, affixed to a frame, small adhesive patches on the back, and a small loss, as shown in the photo; Shipping: INSURED shipment via Bartolini/DPD courier. To avail of the insurance coverage, any damage to the neck must be contested and reported to the courier at the time of delivery. Otherwise, it will not be possible to initiate the insurance reimbursement procedure. Provenance: from a private collection; Lodewijk de Deyster (circa 1656 – 18 December 1711) was a draftsman, etcher, engraver, and maker of musical instruments—a Flemish instrument maker. He painted biblical subjects and portraits. His Baroque paintings show a clear influence from Italian masters such as Giordano, Maratta, Barocci, and Flemish painters such as Peter Paul Rubens, Anthony van Dyck, and Jan Boeckhorst. He was also a textile merchant.
