Lot 46 - A Chinese Carved Agate 'Squirrel and Grapes'

Of rounded form, finely carved from translucent pale greyish-white agate, the exterior decorated in high relief with squirrels amongst entwined grapevines, the branches forming openwork handles around the body, with delicately carved leaves and fruit, raised on three short feet. Together with a fitted box. Diameter 11–14cm.
