The Art Deco era, with its incomparable elegance, produced a multitude of jewelry designs that have lost none of their fascination to this day. Among the favorites of those eventful years between the world wars were bright pieces made of platinum, white gold and diamonds, which shone brightly against the sea of lights of electric lighting and their colorful billboards. This ring dates from this exciting time and came to us in Berlin. The transverse ring face presents a total of fifteen sparkling diamonds. The center is set with a large diamond of around 0.55 ct. It is warm-toned and very pure. Due to the historical cut, the so-called "Old European Cut", it has a typical, somewhat softer brilliance than modern diamonds. To the right and left of it, as well as in two arches on the sides, it is accompanied by a further 14 diamonds. These alone weigh in at around 1.10 ct. This piece of jewelry was created at a time when goldsmiths were slowly growing tired of the very delicate, graphic designs of the 1920s. Jewelry was allowed to look a little more powerful again - round and voluminous shapes made their way back into the world of jewellery after a decade of clear lines. This can also be clearly seen here: The ring face is skillfully and precisely structured and executed, but at the same time has a thoroughly powerful presence. Based on the design and the details of the workmanship, such as the use of white gold, we date the ring to around 1935. It is in very good condition and a shining example of the Art Deco style.
