Magnificent Emerald & Diamond Earrings Made of Antique Elements in Our Workshop

There is still ice and snow on the trees and hills, on the roofs and in the meadows. Although the sun is slowly warming up again, ice crystals and snowflakes are still glistening brightly in its light, shining like diamonds. Only here and there, the first splashes of green: snowdrops and small patches of grass fight their way through the snow, the first green of spring! These magnificent earrings, which were created from antique elements, evoke this and similar images in us. A wonderful old European cut diamond, which shines like snow, is set under each of the elegantly curved hoops. The two stones, which together weigh 1.30 ct, are set in antique platinum and gold settings that once belonged to a brooch from around 1910. High-quality emerald drops weighing a total of 17.24 ct and of an enchanting green colour swing below. Throughout the centuries, emeralds have been among the most precious gemstones, their value surpassed only by rubies. In the 16th century, the famous Florentine artist Benvenuto Cellini noted that the price of a good emerald was half that of a ruby of the same size, but that the green stone was four times more expensive than a diamond. The drop-shaped pendants seem to flow seductively down from the wearer's ears and vibrate elegantly with every movement. They are unworn and yet already have a history.
