Idar-Oberstein. Helles, ins Grüne spielendes Fluorit, massiv geschnitten und detailreich graviert, Oberflächen teils poliert, teils naturbelassen rau. Schnabel aus dunklem Rauchquarz. Augen eingelegt. Der Vogel mit realistisch ausgearbeiteter Gefiederstruktur und aufgestellter Federhaube, sitzend auf einem formgetreuen, naturbelassenen Aragonit/Calcit-Stufen-Sockel mit charakteristischer Aggregatform. Die Füße und Krallen aus Metall, fein ziseliert. Am Stand des Sockels eingelassene, kleine runde Goldplakette mit dem Monogramm-Signet des Künstlers. H: ca. 27 cm. (mit Sockel). Gewicht: ca. 3320 g. Sehr guter Gesamtzustand. Eine Kralle am linken Fuß fehlt. Leichte Bestoßung am Schwanzgefieder. | MANFRED WILD (1944), “Large Gemstone Sculpture of a Cockatoo” Idar-Oberstein. Light-colored fluorite with a greenish hue, solidly carved and intricately engraved, with surfaces partly polished and partly left naturally rough. Beak made of dark smoky quartz. Inlaid eyes. The bird features realistically rendered feather details and an upright crest, seated on a natural, true-to-form aragonite/calcite stepped base with a characteristic aggregate formation. The feet and claws are made of metal and finely chased. A small round gold plaque bearing the artist’s monogram is inset into the front of the base. Height: approx. 27 cm (including base). Weight: approx. 3,320 g. Very good overall condition. One claw on the left foot is missing. Minor chipping to the tail feathers. SHIPPING TO THE USA MUST BE ARRANGED BY THE BUYER.
