This 1963 original color lithograph by Marc Chagall (1887-1985), titled Acrobats at Play (Le Jeu des Acrobates), was printed by the prestigious Mourlot Freres atelier in Paris and published by Editions Andre Sauret for the landmark catalogue raisonne portfolio, Chagall Lithograph II (1957-1962). Catalogued under the official reference Mourlot 401 (Cramer 56), the surrealist composition captures Chagall's enduring fascination with the circus and its spirit of physical freedom.
