Marlen - Luigi Vanvitelli | Edizione Limitata di 770...

Marlen, on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the death of Luigi Vanvitelli (Naples, 1700 – Caserta, 1773), presents this new creation, a limited-edition fountain pen that pays tribute to one of the greatest Italian architects of all time, who during the 18th century played a leading role in the transition from Rococo to Neoclassicism, creating works that today characterize the urban planning of several Italian cities. These exclusive pens were produced in collaboration with the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, underscoring once again the great importance given to culture and art. The collection was produced with great care and attention to detail to honor Vanvitelli’s legacy and celebrate his contribution to the world of architecture. Only 773 fountain pens and 700 roller pens were made, making it a true collectible work of art. The pens have been designed with meticulous care to offer a refined and sophisticated design. The precious Italian resin used gives a sense of luxury and exceptional durability. Each pen is embellished with silver details: the broad silver band on the pen body reproduces a portion of the façade of the Royal Palace of Caserta, adding a touch of majesty and evoking the art and beauty of Italian architecture, and the original sketches of the Caserta Palace plan, offering a tangible tribute to Vanvitelli’s creative genius. On the cap of the pen, the silver ring echoes the Carolingian aqueduct, another masterpiece by Vanvitelli that supplied water to both the San Leucio complex and the Palace itself. The pen clip is designed to reproduce the distinctive decorative element of Luigi Vanvitelli’s architectural style: the shell. This unique detail adds a touch of elegance and refinement to the pen, and pays homage to Vanvitelli’s artistic mastery. Each pen will be accompanied by a book edited by Giuseppe Cirillo, Professor of Modern History at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, and a certificate of authenticity attesting to its exclusivity and serial number. This limited edition collection celebrates the 250th anniversary of Luigi Vanvitelli’s death and the enduring legacy he left in the field of architecture, a piece of Italian history and art.
