Certificate of authenticity: Included and signed by the artist. Broken Wall Broken Wall arises from Mart Signed’s exploration of the relationship between street art, matter, and urban memory. The project brings into houses, galleries, and private collections a fragment of the street language, transforming a surface marked by time into a contemporary artwork. The wall is not merely the support for the image, but becomes an integral part of the work. Its surface, the fractures, the traces of time, and the natural characteristics of the material preserve the link with the urban context from which street art is born. The fracture thus becomes an element of the artistic language: the boundary between the street and the exhibition space is broken, and the urban fragment finds a new placement. The work Each journey is marked by a final gesture. A single brushstroke turns 22 into 33, transforming a common number into a symbol. An essential gesture that transcends the image: sacrifice, creation, hope, and memory meet in a single final sign. The work does not impose a single answer but leaves each observer free to find their own interpretation. The stencil is created directly on the support: this is not a print or reproduction. The work depicted in the photographs is exactly what the collector will receive. Materials and authenticity The materials recovered from the street are chosen to maintain a living link with the original street art language. Marks, abrasions, surface variations, irregularities, and natural imperfections are not defects but elements belonging to the material’s history and the artwork’s identity. These characteristics are deliberately preserved and integrated into the creative process. The work is signed, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, and delivered ready to hang. The frame is not included, unless otherwise indicated for a specific exemplar. Instagram and project participation The journey of the work can continue after purchase. Collectors can share their piece on Instagram by tagging @martsigned and using the hashtag #MartSigned. Works correctly tagged may be reshared by the artist through their channels, showing the different destinations reached by the works and creating a direct connection between the artist, collector, and audience. Periodically, through social networks, special initiatives, raffles, or small gifts related to street art may also be organized. Participation is optional and independent from the purchase of the work. Any methods and conditions are communicated through the artist’s official channels. The artist Mart Signed is an Italian street artist active internationally. His works are part of private collections in numerous countries, and his artistic research develops around the concept “Where Are You Street Art?”: bringing the language and material of the street inside homes, galleries, private collections, and spaces traditionally distant from the urban context. Over the years, Mart Signed has developed his international presence through collaborations and relationships with various art-world entities. His research connects street art, urban memory, recovered materials, and space transformation. In 2023, Mart Signed also participated in a documentary dedicated to Banksy and street art culture. Shipping The work is shipped via specialized couriers managed by Mail Boxes Etc. Each piece is carefully packaged, protected, and insured, with particular attention to the most delicate parts and the irregular shape of the support. Each piece is produced individually, and no two pieces can be identical. The shape of the support, the fracture, the surface, the marks, the imperfections, and the material characteristics naturally vary from work to work, making each piece unrepeatable. The 20 works share the same artistic project and the same conceptual core, but each maintains its own physical and visual identity. This is not therefore 20 copies or reproductions of the same work, but 20 unique and different pieces, all belonging to the Broken Wall series. Each work is identified by a specific code printed on the certificate of authenticity.
