Bat-shaped lamp has been produced by Martinelli Luce for 50 years and is still today an icon of Italian design. The Pipistrello lamp was designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965, then manufactured and still in production by Martinelli Luce. It is a table lamp characterized by the elusive shape of the conical base that rises upward, widening into the ribs of the diffuser, like the wings of a bat. The lamp is composed of the opal acrylic diffuser, a telescopic metal body, and a base in dark brown-painted metal. The light source is LED, dimmable via the switch on the power cord. Today Pipistrello is exhibited at the MOMA in New York. THE LAMP IS SHIPPED WITH ORIGINAL PACKAGING, TRACKED AND INSURED SHIPMENT.
