Martinelli Luce - Marc Sadler - Hanging lamp - Babele - Metal

The Babele pendant lamp is a remarkable design in which architecture, art, and lighting come together. Designed by Marc Sadler for Martinelli Luce, the lamp is characterized by its striking spiral silhouette, a form that echoes the mythical Tower of Babel while simultaneously making a strong graphic statement within the interior. The layered construction gives the lamp a sculptural appearance that continually changes depending on the viewing angle. By day, the Babele presents itself as an architectural object with a powerful presence, while in the evening it transforms into a mood-setting light source that emits a warm and inviting light. The subtle combination of direct and diffuse light provides a pleasant balance between functionality and atmosphere. With a diameter of 40 cm, this version is highly suitable above a dining table, in a living room, or as a focal point in an entry hall or office environment. The distinctive design makes the lamp more than just lighting; it is a decorative object that adds character and depth to the space. Like many Martinelli Luce designs, the Babele combines technical innovation with a poetic approach to light. The result is a lamp that not only illuminates but also connects and invites togetherness in a warm and intimate setting.
