My name is Maryse Coin, born in 1957, I am a self-taught French artist and I live in Niort (79). Passionate about color and texture, I explore different styles ranging from abstract expressionism, action painting, to highly realistic academic painting. I use different mediums: acrylic, oil, collage. My works are in private collections, notably in Europe, the United States and Morocco. I have participated in numerous Exhibitions and Fairs: Deauville, Paris, Perpignan. Marrakech, Florence, Bellano. I have always felt this visceral need to be outdoors, where time regains its natural rhythm. Nature is not just a backdrop for me: it is a refuge, a space of calm where each season brings its nuances, scents and lights. Walking there is relearning to observe and listen. What fascinates me most at the heart of this living painting are the birds. There is something infinitely free and poetic in their presence. Whether it is the song of a blackbird at dusk, the swift flight of a swallow or the quietness of a coal tit in the branches, watching them requires special attention, almost a form of meditation. Their plumage, their behaviors, their migrations that defy distances… everything about them amazes me. Observing birds is my way of staying connected to this wild, fragile and essential beauty that surrounds us. The work is signed by the artist at the bottom right: M. Coin, as well as on the back.
