Maurizio Galimberti (Como, 1956) Christo Readymade, affezione no. 512, 2011 Original Polaroid by Maurizio Galimberti applied to a postcard depicting “Wrapped Reichstag, Berlin 1971–1995”, project by Christo and Jeanne-Claude. The composition relates the view of the wrapped Reichstag with Galimberti's photographic reinterpretation: over the sharpness of the postcard lies the instant image, characterized by a sense of movement and overlapping. The work bears on the front the autograph signatures of Maurizio Galimberti and Christo. On the back there are: - stamp “By Maurizio Galimberti – Mail Art – 2011”; - stamp “Readymade – By Maurizio Galimberti 2011 – To Archivio Nordest / Christo affezione”; - title and signature of Maurizio Galimberti. Accompanied by archival documentation on photography from the Archivio Nordest, no. 9362, with autograph signature of Maurizio Galimberti, included in the lot.
