Across a dense field of midnight blue, the artist sets four wavering silver lines in motion, as if routes, currents, or thresholds were crossing a private night. Small pale blocks appear like signals caught in the dark. I painted this from a need to stay with what cannot yet be named. Darkness is not only absence to me; it is a place where attention becomes sharper and fragile things begin to speak. I follow the lines as one follows an inner rhythm, without knowing where it will lead. I do not seek to make these marks describe a path or have their relationships resolve into a recognizable figure. I work with the possibility that a surface can retain traces of passage, boundaries, and presences that never fully reveal themselves.
