Mazza Aldo - Manifesto I° Circuito Aereo Brescia 1909 –...

Suggestive manifesto dedicated to Brescia's 1st Air Circuit in September 1909, one of the most pioneering events in the history of world aviation. Note well: This is a subsequent edition, likely from the 1970s. The extraordinary composition blends the symbolic fascination of the allegorical figure suspended among the clouds with the first airplanes in flight, evoking the enthusiasm and visionary spirit that accompanied the birth of the aeronautical era. The manifesto celebrates the Brescia competition of 1909, endowed with the exceptional prize pool of 100,000 lire, which saw the participation of the era’s most celebrated flight pioneers. The work is designed by the great Aldo Mazza, among the leading protagonists of the Italian poster and a refined interpreter of the Liberty (Art Nouveau) style, author of some of the most elegant advertising images of the twentieth century. His works are today particularly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of vintage graphics. !!!
