MEDSAN - Astro Boy Brighter Tomorrow (鉄腕アトムの明日) - UNIQUE WORK

THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1 In this square format, Medsan sends Astro Boy, Osamu Tezuka's little robot, soaring above 1960s Japan. With clenched fists, red boots spewing a yellow flame, he streaks diagonally, with an open smile, in front of a red sun whose rays flare on a pink background. Under him, a large blue wave edged with foam rises on the left, and the snowy Mount Fuji dominates a bay lined with buildings and a palm tree. In the center there is an enormous National Transistor radio, placed on a busy street where pedestrians cross a light blue tram. Bottom left, a woman in a flowery kimono looks up; on the right, a laughing bather hides under a parasol, among blooming cherry trees. Along the left edge, 鉄腕アトム is written in large black characters, while on the right “PEACE YOUTH SCIENCE A BRIGHTER TOMORROW” responds in red. Pink, vivid red and deep blue dominate, cut by black and white. The whole image breathes the optimism of an era that believed in tomorrow. A bright and nostalgic piece, ideal for adding a touch of retro manga to a collector's home who loves Japan.
