This particular specimen is an SL 500 from 1990, powered by the mighty 5.0-liter V8 engine. The car is in very well-kept condition and has undergone extensive preventive maintenance by a certified Mercedes specialist in recent years. EXTERIOR: The bodywork and paint are in very neat and well-maintained condition. The car comes with a body-colored hard top and an original windscreen with protective cover. The hydraulic operation of the convertible roof has been fully revised, with fresh oil and a new roof module. Also installed are a new windshield with green tint, new headlight wipers, a new electric antenna, and a new windshield wiper. INTERIOR: The interior is in very good condition and is finished in black leather. The dashboard and all controls are in an original, well-kept condition; all gauges and lighting function properly. Options include electronically adjustable memory seats and a rollover protection system. The interior is equipped with a new interior blower and a new light switch. ENGINE & TECHNICAL: Powered by the 5.0-liter V8 engine paired with an automatic transmission. The car has undergone thorough technical work in recent years. The work includes: a major service on the engine and injection system with 8 new fuel injectors, partial transmission overhaul (including new seals, gaskets and fresh oil), new distributor caps (Bosch), rotors, plug wires, spark plugs, lambda sensor, camshaft sensor, engine hood insulation, multirib belt, and a revised idle control unit. The ADS suspension system has been fully serviced with fresh oil, a new ADS module and a rebuilt valve block. The air conditioning has been recharged and blows cold. The battery has also been renewed. DOCUMENTS: The car is accompanied by the Dutch registration, inspection reports, invoices, and the manual and service book. The vehicle can be viewed and a test drive can be arranged in Bruinisse, the Netherlands. Bids are exclusive of transport and export, unless otherwise stated.
