An incredible and prestigious coeval lot consisting of 5 iconic Grand Prix and Formula 1 cars in 1:48 scale, produced by Mercury Torino in the mid-1950s. Each model comes with its very rare original illustrated blue box from the period (designed by Mario Davazza). The lot includes: - Art. 52: Maserati 250 F (Red, No. 48) + Original box - Art. 53: Ferrari 555 Supersqualo (Red, No. 92) + Original box - Art. 54: Lancia D.50 (Red, No. 48) + Original box - Art. 55: Mercedes-Benz W196 Open Wheels (Silver, No. 92) + Original box - Art. 56: Mercedes-Benz W196 Streamlined "Monza Type" (Silver, No. 48) + Original box Condition (Garage find): The models come from a single family collection preserved together for decades. Please note that I am NOT a collector or a professional dealer: the models are offered as "Incomplete/To be checked" in the exact condition they were found. Since I have not disassembled the bodies, I cannot guarantee the absolute integrity of the internal pins or the absence of old vintage repairs under the chassis. The externally visible bases appear intact and free of obvious repairs. The numerous detailed photos are part of the description. Important specific notes for collectors: - Race numbers (Sticker badges): Please note that all models feature vintage race numbers on a yellow circular sticker (numbers 48 and 92) presumably applied by the previous owner back in the day. These differ from the numbers originally shown on the box illustrations (e.g., the Ferrari shows 11 on the box, the Lancia shows 32). They are left in the as-found state. - Traces of putty/tack: Almost all models show old residues of vintage yellow putty or tack on the radiator or nose. The substance is left as found and has not been removed. - Streamlined Mercedes (Art. 56): The external bodywork and paint are in excellent condition, but it is completely missing the rear axle and rear wheels. Ideal as a restoration project or for spare parts. - The Boxes: The 5 iconic vintage blue boxes are excellently preserved. The cardboard is sturdy, colors are bright, and they show no severe crushing. Being 70-year-old material, they show normal signs of age, wear on the flaps, or small vintage pencil markings (e.g., price "300" on some packs), all well documented in the photo gallery. An exceptional coordinated set, extremely hard to find on today's market in this splendid boxed configuration.
