Superb, vividly colored silkscreen titled "La Grande Lessive" by Michel Granger. Limited edition of 100 copies, this one 40/100, signed and titled by the artist. It depicts continents suspended from a laundry line with the bare Earth beneath. Title: "La Grande Lessive" Artist: Michel Granger (1946) Technique: Silkscreen on Arches paper Style: Abstract Expressionism Signature: Numbered, titled, dated in pencil by the artist Format: 76x56 cm Condition: Excellent condition. Michel Granger, French artist born in 1946. He studied at the Beaux-Arts in Lyon but lives in Paris. His early drawings with the Earth as a theme were published by the magazine "Pilote." From 1975 to 1985 he devoted himself to illustrations on current affairs for television. He created the cover of Jean-Michel Jarre’s album "Equinoxe." In 1989, he created a series of paintings dedicated to Wang Weilin who challenged the tanks of the Chinese army on Tiananmen Square. He has produced posters for the UN, UNESCO, Reporters Without Borders…
