Alle Auktionen / Porzellan & Keramik / Mid-century modern Toilet set (2) - Libero Cellarosi (1945)
Elevate your collection with this spectacular coordinated set of artistic ceramics from the 60s/70s, a true masterpiece of fine craftsmanship. The set captivates at first glance thanks to a hypnotic malachite-marble texture in emerald green and black tones, highlighted by deep glossy black bands and precious 24k gold trim. The lot comprises two pieces of striking impact and elegance: - Circular box / Bonbonniere with lid: with soft, rounded lines, enhanced by a refined gold handle on the lid and a contrasting signature. Perfect as a precious jewelry box or a sumptuous centerpiece for the living room. Dimensions: about 7x17 cm - Coordinated ashtray / pocket-dresser: circular shape with handy gold-profiled recesses, ideal as a refined accent element for a desk or smoking table. Dimensions: about 3x11 cm These pieces bear the prestigious cursive signature and star symbol of Libero Cellarosi (known as Cicci Cellarosi), a leading figure in art ceramics of the Republic of San Marino and the Italian ceramic tradition of the twentieth century. Loved by collectors worldwide for the uniqueness of his lustre glazes and neoclassical and modernist finishes, his career was officially consecrated by the prestigious Award for Professionalism, a recognition reserved for the greatest masters of art. The gilding is done with authentic 24k gold leaf applied by hand and fixed through a third-fire firing: a process that yields warm, bright metallic reflections, capable of enhancing any environment with a timeless Mid-Century Hollywood Regency touch. An authentic investment piece not to be missed. - Author: Libero Cellarosi (signed with the star symbol) Era: 1960s / 1970s Origin: Republic of San Marino / Italy Materials: Fine art glazed ceramic, 24k gold leaf finishes fired to a third firing Conditions: Excellent vintage, glossy glazes and intact, vivid gilding (always refer to the photo gallery for aesthetic details).
