Miguel de Miguel – International Visual Artist* Miguel is a Spanish visual artist who began his career in 1980 and has developed a solid and emotionally intense trajectory, recognized worldwide. He has exhibited in cities such as New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City, and his work is part of some of the most important international collections. He currently lives and creates in Italy. His painting combines figure and abstraction with a distinctive language, where vibrant color, symbolic forms, and deep textures speak of identity, memory, and inner silence. Faceless figures, symbolic natures, and scenes suspended in time compose a poetic and sensitive universe. With more than four decades of creation, Miguel de Miguel offers a body of work that is not only to be observed but to be experienced from the most intimate level. An art that crosses borders, styles, and words. In Metamorfosis, Miguel de Miguel builds a pictorial space in permanent transformation, where figure and matter merge to form an intermediate reality still in the process of appearing. Human presences emerge among fields of blue, turquoise, and red, like forms that seem to be born from the very surface of the painting. The intense red core acts as the central energetic axis of the composition, confronting the depth of the blues and generating a chromatic tension of great intensity. The black lines, gestural and nerve-like, function as an organic structure that connects the various presences and guides the gaze through the space. The background, deliberately irregular, retains the traces of the gesture and allows the painting to breathe. Nothing remains completely defined: everything seems to be appearing, transforming, and disappearing at the same time. Metamorfosis thus speaks of a state of transition, of that frontier where matter begins to become form and form dissolves again into matter.
