Minton Majolica cherubs basket, dated 1868.

Minton Majolica cherubs basket, dated 1868.

Minton majolica pottery basket, dated 1868. The basket very well modelled as two Cherubs, walking whilst carrying a large shell basket between them. Set upon a grassy mound base, edged in underglaze cobalt blue. One cherub draped with sheaves of corn, whilst his companion is draped with oak leaves and berries. Decorated in typical majolica glazes.
