This is a beautiful classic vintage wall mirror in Italian Baroque / Rococo style. Style & Design: The mirror is characterized by refined, graceful scrolls (volutes), leaf motifs and a striking curved ornament at the top and bottom. This curled linework is typical of the Neo-Rococo revival. Material: The frame is cast from brass or bronze (or a cast alloy with a bronze/brass finish). Between the 1950s and 1980s, this type of high-quality copper/bronze decorative items was widely produced in Italy for export. Patina & Brass Shine: Brass and bronze naturally develop a dark, dull oxide layer (patina) over the years. With a mild copper or brass polish you can restore the warm, golden shine of the metal, while it remains darker in the deeper grooves for a beautiful contrast.
