Moebius - 1 Screen printing - Le Machiniste + dédicace - 1979

• Title: The Machinist • Publisher: Les Humanoïdes Associés (historic publishing house of Metal Hurlant). • Context: Official greeting card published for the year 1979. • Edition: Limited to 350 copies on Belkis paper (raisin format, about 50 × 65 cm). Dedicated at the bottom center, Moebius produced an original pencil drawing representing Arzak (his emblematic character with the pointed hat), accompanied by a handwritten inscription signed in his own hand. Traces of natural paper oxidation (slight foxing) and a light yellowing on the top/bottom margins. • Print condition: The central colored area is well preserved. There are no scratches, scuffs, or ink loss. • Foxing: Small brownish oxidation spots are visible in the white margins, particularly along the lower margin around the dedication and text. • Yellowing / Insolation: The paper shows aging yellowing across all margins, with a slightly darker shading band on the upper margin. Edges and corners • Corners: The four corners are slightly rounded (slightly bumped or rounded by handling). There is no major crease crossing the image. • Edges / Sides: Presence of light micro-scratches on the left edge. Paper handling • Wave/ warping: The raisin-format paper shows light natural waviness. Overall condition The artwork is in good overall conservation (grade B / B+) for paper dating from 1978/1979. The defects are confined to the outer margins and do not affect the central drawing or the pencil sketch.
