Alle Auktionen / Beleuchtung / Montblanc - William Faulkner (Writers Edition) - Fountain pen
A0000004706 The fountain pen is presented in excellent condition, showing very light use and maintaining a generally well-cared-for appearance. The body in precious resin retains a deep, uniform shine, with no material loss or cracks, showing only micro-scratches typical of minimal handling, visible only upon close inspection. The characteristic dark tone with pearlescent nuances remains intense and elegant. The rhodium-plated metal overlay with guilloché pattern is in very good condition, with a clean, uniform finish, no significant wear or loss of plating, preserving its full aesthetic presence. The cap features a firm and precise fit. The clip, perfectly aligned, maintains its original tension and shows a bright finish without deformations. The William Faulkner signature engraved is clearly legible. The 18-carat gold nib, size M, is in excellent condition, with no deformities or appreciable wear, retaining its original engraving well defined. The feed is clean and the ink flow is correct. The piston filling system operates smoothly and precisely, having been serviced to ensure proper function. The pen has been checked and serviced, ready for immediate use. It comes with its original Montblanc box, which increases its value and appeal for collectors. Conservation recommendations It is recommended to use high-quality inks specifically for fountain pens, avoid pigmented inks, clean with lukewarm water if not used for a while, dry completely before storage, store in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, and operate the filling system gently.
