Montblanc - Writers Edition "Voltaire" (1995) - Pluma...

A0000005428 MONTBLANC WRITERS EDITION "VOLTAIRE" (1995): We present at auction one of the most elegant and coveted pieces from the prestigious Montblanc Writers Edition collection. Released in 1995, this fountain pen pays homage to the brilliant French philosopher, essayist, and writer François-Marie Arouet, universally known as Voltaire. The pen’s design mirrors Voltaire’s fascinating personality and the classic elegance of 18th-century Europe. The body and cap are crafted in Montblanc’s iconic black precious resin. However, the absolute centerpiece is the finial of the cap, made in Vermeil (925 sterling silver heavily gilded with gold), adorned with rich and elaborate engravings inspired by classical motifs. On the side of the cap, in gold-tone, the author’s unmistakable signature is engraved. The piece is finished with a superb solid 18-karat gold nib (750), handcrafted, bearing the edition year (1995) and delicate motifs from the Enlightenment era. Condition Report (Expert Review) The fountain pen is in an exceptional collectable state: Body and Cap: The resin shows a perfect polish, with no cracks, marks, or dents.
