Montegrappa Eye of Sauron: Middle-earth – Prototype Inspired by the legendary world of J.R.R. Tolkien, the Montegrappa Eye of Sauron: Middle-earth is a remarkable tribute to one of the most iconic fantasy sagas ever created. Featuring a satin black resin body with intricate laser engraving depicting the lands of Middle-earth, ruthenium-plated brass trim, a Super-LumiNova enamel clip, and a removable gold-plated replica of the One Ring, this extraordinary writing instrument is a masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship. Available as Rollerball, or Ballpoint, each version is handcrafted in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. The Fountain Pen is fitted with a smooth stainless steel nib, while the Rollerball and Ballpoint offer the same exceptional craftsmanship and everyday writing performance. One of the most distinctive features of this edition is the removable gold-plated One Ring. Designed as a wearable piece, it can be detached from the pen and worn on your finger, allowing collectors and Tolkien enthusiasts to carry this iconic symbol wherever they go. What makes this pen truly exceptional is its provenance. Unlike the numbered Limited Edition released to the public, this example is a genuine prototype. As a pre-production piece, it bears no limitation number, making it significantly rarer than the standard edition. Prototype Montegrappa pens are almost never offered for sale, making this an extraordinary opportunity for serious collectors to acquire a unique piece of Montegrappa history. Each pen is professionally inspected, cleaned, and polished before dispatch. It is presented in its exclusive Montegrappa presentation case, accompanied by a complimentary bottle of fountain pen ink (Fountain Pen only), and is backed by a 24-month LAB22 warranty. At LAB22, we are passionate about sourcing the rarest and most exclusive writing instruments for discerning collectors. The Eye of Sauron Prototype is far more than a pen—it is a museum-worthy collectible, created for true Montegrappa and Tolkien enthusiasts seeking pieces that are virtually impossible to find on the open market.
