Moore, Texas. $20 1902 Plain Back. Fr. 652. Moore NB. Charter #8817. PCGS Banknote Very Fine 20. A tough note like many that can be traced back to the Jack Copeland Currency Collection. This evenly circulated $20 Plain Back which was issued by the Moore National Bank (Charter# 8817) at some point before 1924 is a fine exemplar of a rather small population recorded by the National Bank Note Census. Here only just eight non-institutional notes are recorded on this bank based out of Frio County and these notes are typically traded years apart barring the consignment of a collection in the vein of Copeland. Now among those survivors, this example is a particularly attractive one and offers distinct stamped signatures attributable to Cashier R.L. Connelly and President H.E. Johnson which do well to magnify the eye appeal of this deceptively rare Texas National. PCGS Banknote comments "Stained." Estimate: $800 - $1,200.
