Fully handmade in Murano, this glass sphere pendant is a small embroidery of glass, where coral red intertwines with the transparency of crystal. The sphere, lamp-worked, has a heart of transparent crystal glass, entirely enveloped by thin filaments of coral red glass, applied by hand one by one. The filaments wind into swirls, curls and small raised dots, creating an arabesque motif reminiscent of fretwork. The decoration recalls carved red coral, but it is drawn directly at the flame: between one swirl and another the crystal lets light pass through, giving depth and lightness to the entire sphere. The pendant is mounted on a headpin finished by two small red spacers and a gold-plated cup, and it slides along a delicate forzatina chain thanks to a gold-plated bail with a worked surface. The spring ring clasp, with an extension chain, allows length adjustment. The princess length brings the sphere to the base of the neck, just above the collarbones.
