Made entirely by hand in Murano using lampworking, this necklace combines the transparency of crystal, the light of silver, and a burst of color in a light and contemporary design. The pendant is a large oval glass crystal pearl worked by lamp, shaped with soft ribbing that gathers at the ends like a bud. Inside, a silver leaf submerged in the crystal creates bright reflections and a delicately craquelé texture. Around the central band runs a garland of transparent glass drops, applied and fused one by one: cobalt blue, sky blue, turquoise, emerald green, acid green, amber, orange, ruby red, pink, lilac, and crystal. When struck by light, the drops cast small colored reflections, making the jewel come alive at any time of day. The pearl is threaded on a slender gunmetal-colored silver-tone delicate chain, along which it slides freely. The spring ring closure, with an extension chain, allows for length adjustment. Each piece is unique: the arrangement of the drops, the color hues, and the silver texture vary from piece to piece.
