AURELIAN — No. 01/12 It is the first piece of a limited edition of twelve sculptures by the Spanish artist Natalia Mc Donald (Malaga, 1987). AURELIAN is an original creation; both the figure's design and its concept are the fruit of the artist's imagination and creative work. The piece stands out for its rounded forms, its expressive gaze, and the combination of textures that run across the body. Its avian-inspired head contrasts with a robust anatomy. An ornamental helmet of antique appearance crowns the figure, giving it a ceremonial and mysterious air. The color palette combines soft cream, pinkish, and ochre tones, with delicate nuances that accentuate the volumes and details of the sculpture. Each element has been carefully hand-painted, creating a surface rich in variations and nuances. The edition comprises the twelve pieces that share the same sculptural form but present different color finishes.
