The coloration, typical of quartz marketed as Tangerine Quartz, is commonly associated with the presence of iron oxides and hydroxides on the surface of the crystals. The three-dimensional arrangement of the prisms, glassy reflections, and the contrast between the orange areas and the lighter ones give the specimen a remarkable aesthetic impact.
