NEPAL, Rajbanshi A red-and-black lacquered wooden mask depicting Hanuman, with a red complexion and adorned with black motifs; the jaw juts forward and the thick, slightly parted lips reveal fangs, bushy eyebrows adorned with studs, and a hole drilled in the top of the skull to secure a headdress. Antique clasps on the chin. (Cracks, holes, and missing pieces). H. 30 cm. Base. Provenance: - Private collection, Belgium
