"Shade and Light" In this work the composition is conceived under the logic of a photographic negative, where chromatic and tonal values are disrupted to suggest a dreamlike and liminal space. The use of thinned acrylic medium allows subtle superpositions and translucent layers that give the surface an internal luminous texture, moving away from the traditional opacity of the material. Antecedents of modern illustration and folk art are integrated, reinterpreting traditional iconography through a contemporary gaze that prioritizes grafismo (graphic line work) and symbolism. The piece builds a universe where fauna and flora intertwine in a fantastical plane, suspended in an timeless time guided by the rhythm of ornamental shapes and color.
