Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs No Reserve -Collection of Three Antique Persian Shahsavan Bag Faces - Circa 1900 Size: 4 ft 4 in x 3 ft 9 in (1.32 m x 1.14 m)+3 ft 1 in x 1 ft 6 in (0.93 m x 0.45 m)+3 ft 2 in x 1 ft 6 in (0.96 m x 0.45 m) Provenance: Property of a California collector A fascinating group of three antique Shahsavan bag faces displaying the bold geometry, saturated colors, and varied weaving techniques associated with the nomadic peoples of northwestern Persia. Originally used to decorate the fronts of functional storage bags, these textiles combined daily utility with highly personal artistic expression. Each piece presents its own arrangement of stripes, diamonds, hooked forms, and tribal devices, making the group especially appealing for collectors. Displayed individually or together, they offer an engaging glimpse into the portable woven culture of Shahsavan nomadic life.
