No reserve-grote en zware voetbokaal / bonbonnière / compote-schaal

Rare, large and heavy crystal goblet/trophy (bonbonnière/compote bowl), consisting of a richly hand-cut crystal goblet on a silver foot. The crystal goblet is made of heavy lead crystal with a deep star-cut and a fine diamond pattern. The goblet rests on a large silver trumpet foot with a baluster knop of cut crystal. The foot is stamped and marked with Dutch silver hallmarks, including the 835/1000 silver fineness mark and the sword sign. Also bearing the master mark CBZ from the well-known Amsterdam silversmith C. Bos & Zoon, who manufactured and mounted the silver foot. They operated as silversmiths in Amsterdam from 1929 to 1947. It is a large imposing piece, with a height of 15.00 cm and a goblet diameter of 12.5 cm. The total weight is 865.00 g, and the piece is quite heavy (the foot is filled to keep it solid when filled). The matchbox shown in the photo is for scale only and is not included. The crystal, given its age of at least 80 years, is in very good condition, and the silver foot is also in excellent condition (only a minimally noticeable wear opening inside the lower edge). The crystal sounds clear and bright when tapped with a fingernail, as it should. This beautiful, rare cut-crystal goblet, due to its elegant form, impressive size, and exquisite cut décor, is a striking and particularly decorative object.
