Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs No Reserve - Large Antique Indian Carpet with Arts and Crafts–Inspired Design Size: 19 ft x 14 ft 9 in (5.79 m x 4.5 m) Provenance: Property of a New York residence A striking large-format Indian carpet reflecting the Arts and Crafts movement’s renewed interest in hand production, botanical ornament, and the unity of design and craftsmanship. The composition appears to translate the movement’s stylized natural forms into the medium of hand-knotted carpet weaving. Its broad proportions allow the design to unfold with unusual scale and clarity, making the carpet especially suitable for a grand dining room, a large living space, or an important period interior. The title appropriately uses “Arts and Crafts–inspired” unless a specific designer, workshop, or documented pattern can be established. Condition Request Condition Report Lot #480 is in very good condition. The pile is full and even, with no visible signs of wear. Both ends are original and complete but need hand-securing. The sides are securely finished. There is no dryness in the foundation. The rug is clean and floor-ready.
