No reserve price - Brooch Silver - Cartelan

A distinctive vintage brooch/pin pendant by the Mexican maker Cartelan, crafted in 925 sterling silver and decorated with colorful enamel. The design has a pronounced geometric character. The central part consists of a blue-black speckled enamel surface with a silver-colored, stepped geometric motif. Around it runs a decorative edge with green enamel. On either side, small silver details extend beyond the circular shape. At the bottom hang four movable silver drop-shaped elements, adding extra movement when worn. The reverse features both a brooch clasp and a bail, allowing the piece to be worn in two ways. The brooch clasp has a somewhat unusual mechanism, but functions well. On the reverse, the piece is stamped CARTELAN – 925 – MEX – STERLING. One of the four hanging elements shows a localized irregularity that presumably arose during soldering. This does not appear to be later damage. The enamel itself has been well preserved and the jewelry is otherwise in very good vintage condition.
