Elegant and imposing monumental desk-mounted inkwell in Art Nouveau style, made in France in the early years of the twentieth century. The work stands out for the sinuous, organic lines typical of the period “Coup de Fouet,” with a perforated backrest featuring abstract vegetal and floral motifs. The central structure houses two cylindrical inkwell compartments, complete with their respective coordinated lids, decorated with reliefs of leaves and fruits. In the center there is a rectangular recess with a hinged lid and recessed front elements dedicated to supporting and housing nibs and writing tubes. The dark bronze-like finish enhances the plastic details and the craftsmanship typical of French manufacture of the period. The photos are an integral part of the description.
