Nucleus - We’ll Talk About It Later (Japan) – ULTRA RARE...

Highly collectible original 1971 Japanese first pressing of Nucleus' second album We'll Talk About It Later, issued on Vertigo / Nippon Phonogram under catalogue number SFX-7349. Japanese specialist listings identify this as the original domestic issue, and surviving copies are notably scarce. This edition is particularly desirable because it uses the classic large Vertigo swirl label design, giving it the unmistakable appearance associated with the earliest Vertigo catalogue. Japanese copies are much less commonly encountered than the UK issue and are especially attractive to collectors of Vertigo, progressive rock and jazz-rock. The album is housed in the unusual special die-cut shaped gatefold sleeve, another distinctive feature of this Japanese release, and this copy also retains the original Japanese insert. Led by trumpeter and composer Ian Carr, Nucleus were one of the key British groups bridging jazz, rock and early fusion. We'll Talk About It Later developed the sound of their debut into something more dynamic and adventurous, with tracks such as "Song for the Bearded Lady," "Sun Child," "Lullaby for a Lonely Child," "Oasis," "Ballad of Joe Pimp" and "Easter 1916." ⸻ Sleeve (VG+): The scarce special gatefold sleeve remains very presentable overall. There is some whitening and normal age-related handling wear, but no major distracting damage and the unusual sleeve construction remains intact → VG+ Insert: Original Japanese insert included. Vinyl (VG+): The vinyl retains a very nice original gloss and remains an attractive VG+ example overall. There are around two to three wispy, clearly visible superficial marks on each side. These marks are noticeable visually, but importantly they are not feelable and there are no major deep scratches.
