This pictorial portrait, executed in acrylic on canvas, presents a frontal bust of an African woman endowed with a monumental presence and a vibrant color palette. The figure, captured with an expressionist technique that balances loose brushwork in the background with more controlled modeling in the face, wears a textured crimson red turban that dynamically contrasts with the vigorous impasto in cobalt blue and emerald green that compose the surrounding atmosphere. The detailed white ornamental marks on her face and chin stand out, framing a direct and warm gaze; her long dark braids guide the view toward large discoid-shaped gold metal earrings and layered bead necklaces in red and gold, enriching the composition with metallic textures and a deep sense of cultural identity and inherited dignity.
