Small stains at the frontispiece on laid paper. One can recognize Uzanne himself in certain headpieces, always accompanied by one or more women. The frontispiece also depicts him at his desk, a cigarette in hand and a woman beside him, writing The Parishioner of the Celibate. RARE COPY ON JAPAN. Spine partly worn.
