Opel - Commodore GS Coupé - 1971

IN RISALTO: • Opel Commodore GS Coupé of 1971 • Bodywork repainted 3 years ago, in excellent condition with healthy and intact floors • Equipped with four new tires • Registered in France and equipped with a dashboard with burr wood inserts STORIA/PANORAMICA: The Opel Commodore A, introduced in 1967 as a high-performance version and top trim of the Rekord C, represents one of the most iconic GT coupés from the Rüsselsheim house between the late 1960s and early 1970s. Characterized by inline-6 engines and the sporty GS (Grand Sport) version, it combined sporting performance with a sleek silhouette featuring a fixed roof and a fastback profile. This 1971 example is a Commodore GS Coupé originally registered in France. The bodywork was repainted about three years ago, and the vehicle has remained stationary and inactive over the last 5 years. The car is offered as a preserved project to be revised, have its interior restored, and undergo a general mechanical tuning. CARROZZERIA/VERNICIATURA: The bodywork presents in excellent overall condition, having been repainted three years ago. The floors and subframe structure are healthy and intact. The external components, glass, and finishes are preserved in line with the era of the vehicle. INTERNI: The cabin is in preserved condition but requires restoration and refurbishment. The interior coverings must be redone and treated with specific products. The dashboard retains the original burr wood inserts, which are structurally intact but not in good aesthetic condition, requiring a refinish. The electrical system is functional, though requiring a general overhaul. MECCANICA: Under the hood sits the original mechanicals, which require tuning and a thorough general inspection. The vehicle has been idle and not driven for the last 5 years; the engine starts, but the mechanics must be checked in every part before road use. The tires are newly mounted. DOCUMENTI: The car is supplied with French registration documents.
