An exceptionally impressive and richly decorated cast-iron garden bench, executed in a distinctly classical and Victorian-inspired style. This heavy and monumental bench immediately catches the eye with its enormous amount of decorative details. Almost every part is intricately designed, giving the bench the appearance of an exclusive object from a manor, orangery, or classical garden. The tall openwork backrest features graceful rocaille, floral, and scroll motifs, combined with a repeating classical lattice pattern. The armrests sit perfectly in line with it and are also richly adorned with ornaments. The seat itself is also completely openwork and decorative. Along the bottom runs a heavy decorative molding, while the front legs are shaped into powerful curved forms with extensive ornamentation. The deep black finish emphasizes the reliefs and gives the bench a very luxurious and stately appearance. This is not a standard garden bench, but a true statement piece that comes into its own in a large garden, at a country house, on a terrace, in an orangery, at a hotel or restaurant, or as a decorative object in an exclusive interior.
